ENVIRONMENTAL RISK FACTORS OF DIARRHOEA AMONG VULNERABLE POPULATION: A NARRATIVE REVIEW

Despite improvements in global public health, diarrhoea causes more than 1.65 million deaths 2016 which placed as the eighth leading cause of mortality all ages and fifth death children age five years below Malaysia. The impact frequent diarrhoeal episodes is tremendous especially to include stunting cognitive delay. There are three types depending on symptoms acute watery diarrhoea, bloody (dysentery) persistent diarrhoea. Diarrhoea commonly caused by Rotavirus, Cryptosporidium, Shigella, Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC). Infectious agents for differ transmission route, however, risk factors episode widely ranged interconnected with each other need be identified. Modifiable such surrounding environment must identified improved turn avoid episodes.
